The Xero trial account lasts for 30 days, but don’t worry — you won’t need a paid subscription to complete your course.
For all Xero course-related exercises and assessments, you’ll be working in Xero’s Demo Company, not the Trial Company. The Demo Company includes pre-filled data and allows you to practice tasks like setting up payroll, managing transactions, and generating reports — without impacting a real business account.
Keep in mind that the Demo Company resets automatically every 28 days. This means any data or progress you've made inside the Demo environment will be cleared. If you’re in the middle of an assessment, try to complete it within this window to avoid losing your work.
Follow these steps to navigate to the Demo Company:
- Log in to your Xero account
- Click on the company menu
- Select “Demo Company” from the dropdown
Note that:
- Even after your trial expires, you will still have access to the Demo Company.
- Resetting the Demo company clears any changes you've made to it. It restores the Demo to its original default state with sample data.
- You can reset the Demo Company at any time. This is helpful if you want to start over or fix mistakes during practice.
- There is no need to subscribe or enter payment details for training purposes.
If you're unsure whether you're using the Demo Company or experiencing access issues, feel free to contact our Support Team. It’s helpful to share a screenshot of what you’re seeing along with the relevant course material or instructions (tutor@thecareeracademy.com) we’re here to help!
