I can’t enter a value for the Union Fee in MYOB Payroll. How can I fix this?

(For: MYOB Business Payroll – Deductions Setup)

If you're unable to enter a value for a deduction (such as Union Fee) during a pay run, it’s likely due to the Calculation Basis being set incorrectly when the deduction was created.

Here’s how to resolve this:

Update the Calculation Basis

  • Go to Payroll > Pay Items > Deductions in MYOB Business.
  • Click on the Union Fee deduction from the list.
  • Under Deduction Information, find Calculation basis and change it to:
    “User-entered amount per pay period”
  • Click Save to confirm the changes.
