In the MYOB Payroll assessment you are asked to either email the payslips or save the payslips as a PDF. When carrying out this function you may encounter the following error:
To fix this error in Payroll 2016 and earlier, there's a few things you need to do. Let's take you through the required tasks.
Please note that you will need administrator access to your computer to fix this error. This often means you will need to enter the username and password for that computer.
1. Remove the MYOB AO PDF Generator
- Right-click on your start menu and choose Control Panel.
- Double-click Devices and Printers.
- In the list of installed printers and devices, right-click MYOB AO PDF Generator and choose Remove this device.
- Click Yes to the confirmation message.
2. Uninstall Payroll
- Right-click on your start menu and choose Control Panel.
- Double-click Programs and Features.
- In the list of installed programs, right-click MYOB Payroll and choose Uninstall/Change.
- Click Yes to the confirmation message.
- Follow the prompts to uninstall Payroll.
3. Reinstall Payroll
- Log into Windows as Administrator, or as a user with Administrator privileges.
- Temporarily disable your anti-virus and firewall software. You can enable these again after the installation has finished.
- If you have downloaded MYOB Payroll, double-click the downloaded installation file and follow the prompts to install Payroll.
When the installation is complete, restart your computer. This should fix the issue.
