AAT IE and UK Diploma in Accounting – Membership & Exam Criteria Updates
Overview
Important changes have been made to the Membership and Exam criteria for students enrolled in AAT IE and UK Diploma in Accounting programmes. These updates are effective immediately and apply across student communications, FAQs, tutor guidance, sales information, and Help Centre content.
All relevant FAQs on the affected product pages have now been updated.

Updated Membership & Exam Requirements
1. AAT Student Membership Eligibility
Students must complete 50% of their Diploma in Accounting before they can apply for AAT Student Membership.
Important:
Once the new course version is released later this year, this requirement will increase to 100% course completion before students can apply for membership.
2. Exam Booking Responsibility
Students are responsible for booking their own AAT exams directly with AAT-approved providers.

3. Exam Attempt Coverage
The Career Academy covers the cost of one exam attempt only for each AAT exam.
Any additional exam attempts or resits will be the responsibility of the student.
4. Exam Completion Timeframe
Students must complete all AAT exams within 12 months of completing their Diploma in Accounting.

Please note that students enrolled in AAT IE and UK Diploma in Accounting programmes must complete 50% of their Diploma before applying for AAT Student Membership.
