How do I submit my assessment?
Guide to Submitting Assessments
Submitting your assessment correctly ensures it is received on time, marked accurately, and reflects your best work. This guide walks you through the submission process so you can complete it confidently.
Accessing Your Assessment Submission Page
- Log in to your course dashboard – Begin by logging into your learning platform and navigating to your course dashboard.
- Select your course – Click on the relevant course link for the assessment you wish to submit. This will open the course page.
- Find the assessment submission link – Within the course page, look for the link labelled with your assessment title, such as “Assessment Submission: [Course Name]”. Clicking this link will take you to the assessment submission page.
Submitting Your Assessment
Once you are on the submission page, follow these steps carefully:
- Click the Add Submission tab.
- Upload your assessment file – Click the Add File button (the first icon showing a page with a plus sign) and select the file from your device.
- Save your submission – After uploading, click Save to ensure your file is stored in the system.
- Declare the work as your own – Confirm that the submission is your own original work.
- Submit your assessment – Click Submit Assignment to finalise your submission.
After completing these steps, your submission status box should turn green and display “Submitted,” indicating that your assessment has been successfully submitted. You will also receive an email confirmation acknowledging your submission.
Submitting an Assessment When Submission is Reverted to Draft
Sometimes your submission may appear as a draft, either because a tutor has reverted it (for example, due to an incorrect file or a blank template) or because the Submit Assignment button was not clicked after uploading your file. If this happens, you can update your submission by following these steps:
- Click Edit Submission – This allows you to access your previous submission.
- Remove the old file – Click on your previously uploaded document and delete it.
- Upload the revised file – Click Add File and select the updated assessment file from your device.
- Save your changes – Click Save to ensure your new file is stored.
- Declare the work as your own – Confirm that the revised submission is entirely your own work.
- Submit the assessment again – Click Submit Assignment to finalise the submission for marking.
Once this process is completed, your submission status will turn green and display “Submitted,” confirming that your updated assessment has been successfully submitted. You will also receive an email confirmation acknowledging your submission.
