# How should I reference in my assignment?

When it comes to referencing, it’s always great practice, but it’s not compulsory at The Career Academy, and it won’t affect your grade. However, if you do use ideas from the course material or other sources, make sure to paraphrase them into your own words to avoid plagiarism.

 

If you’d like to reference your sources, you can simply include the name or URL of the website, book, video, etc., in the reference box at the bottom of your assignment. Or, if you're familiar with a specific referencing style (such as APA, MLA, Oxford, Chicago, or Harvard), feel free to use the one that works best for you!
