How to Correctly Submit an Assessment

When you're ready to have your assessment marked, it's important to ensure you fully submit it—not just upload it. Submitting an assessment correctly means it moves out of “draft” status and into the queue for marking.

 

How to Properly Submit Your Assessment

Follow these steps to make sure your work is submitted correctly:

  • Step 1:

Click on the Assessment Submission link within your course.

  • Step 2:

Attach your completed assessment file for marking.

At this stage, the submission status will show as “Draft (not submitted).”

  • Step 3:

Click the “Submit assignment” button to proceed.

  • Step 4:

Carefully read the Submission Statement. If you agree, tick the checkbox to confirm.

  • Step 5:

Click the Continue button to finalise your submission.

Once completed, your assessment will be officially submitted and sent to your tutor for marking.

 

Pro Tip

Always double-check that your submission status changes from Draft to Submitted. If it’s still in draft, it won’t be marked!
