At The Career Academy, we are committed to helping all of our students succeed, and the tutors can be contacted during business hours (9 am to 5 pm) Monday to Friday if you need guidance or need to clarify your understanding.
Tutors can help you with the following:
- Questions about the feedback you have received on an assignment.
- Questions about how to work through the course.
- Encouragement to keep going and motivate you to achieve.
- Questions regarding what is required for an assignment question.
- Guidance on specific concepts you are struggling with.
Tutors are not able to assist with the following:
- Installing software or hardware on your computer.
- Computer or hardware issues (such as overheating, restarting, storage, etc...)
- Printing
- Answering questions that are specific to a business you work in or own, or a hypothetical business scenario.
- Resetting or accessing passwords for sites such as MYOB, Xero or Reckon.
- Providing answers to assignment questions.
- Proofreading assignments before they are submitted.
While the tutors will do their best to assist you with your studies, there is an expectation that all students will:
- have reliable access to a computer (Windows PC and/or Mac), internet connection
- have a recent version of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
- have a basic understanding of how to use a computer (such as downloading files onto your computer, opening and editing word documents, and being able to locate files to upload for grading).
- treat tutors with respect. We will not tolerate colourful language.
