# Why can't I start my next course?

Certain programs have restrictions on them in terms of accessing the next course within it. This means you will not have access to the next course until the previous course has received a passing grade. 

The purpose of this is not to impinge on your study progress but rather to ensure you are fully prepared for the next part of your course, as some courses require prerequisite knowledge. 

We also do not allow bulk submissions and restricted access helps prevent this from occurring.

If you are concerned you are running out of time or you would like your assessment to be graded as soon as possible so you can keep studying, you can contact your tutor via the orange **Help** button. The tutor cannot guarantee they can grade your assessment immediately but they will do their utmost to prioritise it.
